Rain, rain...

The rain makes everything go slower. Cars, business, life - everything, except my mind. As if thoughts mingle in the wind and water, falling every second with the tumoult of drops coming down out of the clouds -- yes, that's how it feels. Ideas, vague feelings of them, falling like drops from clouds of idealism or superfluousness or just the same old routine day-in, day-out. Grey dark ominous clouds these thoughts have a hard time falling from in California.

As if this high desert valley affects the mind, too. Forms it, shapes it, until it is as dry, full of hapless, lifeless shrubs of ideas that give birth to nothing.

Speaking of birth...But that is still for another day. For now, thoughts - concepts - notions fall like rain.

I think I am beginning to understand how badly I need to study philosophy.
That won't be cheap. Not in any sense.
